To the first response (the long one explaining glycogen depletion),

You must drink lots of fluid to avoid water retention because your body has a survival mechanism built into it regarding dehydration and a lack of adequate fluids. When you aren't getting enough water (or are even mildly dehydrated), your body senses this and begins to hold on to the fluid already in your body. This can make you appear puffy or bloated as your body is storing water because it senses a "famine", if you will. If you're constantly well hydrated and drinking enough fluids throughout the day, the survival mode lies dormant and you'll enjoy a total lack of extraneous water retention.

The process is very similar to the "starvation mode" your body goes in to when you aren't getting enough calories, where your body begins to catabolize it's own muscle (the tissue that requires the highest metabolic load to maintain) and store fat. Your body senses it isn't getting enough food, therefore anticipates famine so it stores energy (fat) while ridding itself of the rest. That's why you always hear "reduce calories, but not too drastically". There is a (rather large and admittedly very forgiving) sweetspot when in comes to losing fat, but if you reduce calories too drastically you can cause more harm than good.

So, long and the short, drink up! Even mild dehydration (which you probably won't even notice!) can cause bloating and added water weight. Constantly sip water throughout the day and when you feel satiated at the end of the day, drink another glass. You'll wake up feeling leaner, slimmer and better all around!

In my opinion, if you want to lose weight you need to create a good habits. Weight loss is not a destination, it is a habit. Consistently adding habits into your life that cause you to lose weight is the only way to get the results you truly desire.

I can say from experience hypnotherapy for weight loss does work, i know because i have had it done.
I must admit before I heard a radio broadcast on the BBC with Claire Hegarty who was invited on the show for being an expert in Weight loss hypnotherapy, i would have said to anyone who suggested that i was hypnotized for weight loss, not to be so stupid. But after struggling with my weight for many years and where my weight went upto 22 stone, i listened to the show after becoming despearate and found it very interesting.

I had tried everything to lose weight, i went on loads of diets, i went to my doctor time and time again and he was not interested, i even asked if i could be given a pill that doctors give out for weight loss but he refused so i was now desperate and would have tried anything.

After listening to claire hegarty on the show and listening to what she had to say about hypnotherapy, i decided to contact her, now you have to understand at this time i was still not believing hypnotherapy could help you lose weight but i did want to know more.

She explained all about hypnotherapy and weight loss and how it works to help you lose weight and i was very interested and started to feel maybe their is light at the end of the tunnel, maybe i can get back my ideal weight. I agreed to meet her and after getting on well with her i became her client. And i have to say, that i am so happy that i am now four stone lighter and still losing weight.

So what i have to say to you is, do research by all means into weight loss hypnosis, but it does work and do go to an expert and see the diference it will make to your life as it has made a huge difference to my life but make sure that they are an expert. Just because they do hypnotherapy, it does not mean they are an expert in hypnotherapy weight loss, when making an appointment ask them are they experienced in this and do they have good results.

I am 32 and honestly I was in the same boat as you at 25 not only that I had my daughter at 30 and just seemed to get so frustrated that my weight just kept going up and up. I needed an alternative in the morning and at lunch that was literally quick and easy because I didn't have the time. Honestly, it took me 7years but I finally found something that works. I have a shake in the morning and at lunch with water or I put crystal light in my water and I drink 60 to 80 oz of water in the day. My dinner is awesome because I eat with my family so I pretty much incorporate fruits and veggies with some protein and wah la you have a day of eating. You really need to figure out what shakes work best for you. I tried Designers Whey but I LOVE herbalife's formula 1 shakes because they are really sweet and that is what I crave during the day. If you go to my website you can take a look and contact me. I will give you more info if you would like. Best of luck, Kara :-)

Thank you for your post. For me,the body mass index shouldn't be taken as completely useless.Even though it is not 100% accurate it can still be used as an indicator of a diseased factor.Have we forgotten that for many years,Doctors used it to measure the risk value of heart diseases?I hope you won't mind visiting my site for more facts about body mass index.
