Cortisol Blockers? [cortisol blockers] [stress work]

Has anyone tried this ? Im just curious. I go to the gym, has everything to save the toning of my intestines. Sometimes I am under great deals of stress (work part time, school full time, difficult people in my life). I try to avoid stress as much as possible, but it is unrealistic to have no stress. So I was checking these products and wonder do they really work. Thanx: D

Reply:I recently started taking Cortislim and so far I haven't noticed anydifference. My timing probably isn't the best because I went off Zoloft about the same time. I was desperate because I gained about 10 lbs being on Zoloft and have become very frustrated. I am walking about 3 miles a day/ 5 days a week. I started lifting weights with my husband too. I was doing Pilates every day but have slacked off on it since my kids went back to school. :nono:

Reply:Have you actually had your cortisol levels checked and been told they are high? If not it might not be a good idea to take anything to lower them – cortisol is necessary for proper adrenal function – heck it's necessary for life. Yes, excessive cortisol can be dangerous, but before you go messing with levels you should really check to see if you need to.

You can adjust your diet and lifestyle to help create a good environment for proper levels by avoding excessive intake of sugar / caffiene or other stimulants. Green Tea helps with this because of its powerful antioxdiant properties and one of it's ingredients theanine. Vitamin C can help improve your testosterone levels which will inturn effect the ratio of testosterone to cortisol. By eating enough you also can influence levels – a caloric deficit of 50% below maintenance levels causes a corresponding 40% increase in cortisol levels. But the biggest is probably resting – getting enough sleep makes a big difference when trying to optimize all hormones.
