Depressed . wondering what to do. [last thursday] [spring break]

Hi guys, I weighed myself and was overjoyed that I lost 12 pounds over a period of three months. I did a dance, celebration and was very proud of myself. Since this week is , I felt better about going out with friends and eating out.

I had no idea the mess I was about to get. Long story short, after a week of partying and going out and eating, I went on the scales this morning and found that I gained six pounds. Six pounds in 10 days! I felt like crying right then and there, and hardly believe Im myself again almost two months out in time.

What I do from here? This is so depressing. I feel like Im never going down to my dream weight gain. Did any of you all through this? This is honestly the first time Ive had so many pounds gained in such a short time. What do I do from here, mentally / physically? Any advice would be appreciated.


Reply:please no one attempt the "diet" that guy just posted. it's an absolute starvation diet that is extremely unhealthy, will kill your metabolism and is guaranteed to put you at risk for serious health (especially heart) problems. and guy, please eat more food. if you want a healthy and effective way of losing weight, then get a diet plan from a certified nutritionist. what you're doing now looks like the diet of an anorexic. so let that alone tell you how unhealthy and dangerous it is. please don't stick to this anymore.

Reply:Best way is try this hopes it works. It works and it's working for me.

Breakfast- Drink Chocolate milk
Lunch eat an apple
Dinner eat rice and chicken or fish

So far i've lost six pounds in a week. The person i found this out from went from 140 to 123 last year in less than a MONTH

Reply:I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but in a "biggest loser" type competition, I have dropped 60 lbs in the last 2 1/2 months. In the last couple of weeks, I have seen a dramatic slow down in my weight loss. It's tough seeing losses of only a pound or two, and in a few occasions a gain. I fluctuate up to 7-10 lbs of water weight in any given day. It sucks to see numbers on the scale that aren't losses, but give it time. It WILL balance out and you will continue to lose.

Reply:Like guy said 3 of it is easily water. 6Lbs of fat is very harde to gain in 10 days. you really would have had to be really bad all ten days.

Reply:it happens to everyone. just get back on the right track and you'll be good. Dont make a big deal bout it, it's normal :)

Seems we always gain it faster than we lose it. Look at it this way: you;ve still got a 6 pound loss!
