Do increased servings of dairy every actually help to lose weight? I am suspicious of this because I have always been told that drinking milk adds calories and is not good to drink while trying to lose weight. What is myth and what is fact?

from what ive heard you eat/drink 3 servings of fat free/skim dairy products a day because calcium has been proven to help lose weight. sorry i didnt have more info

Most of the dairy research was sponsored by the Dairy association, so I take their research as being a bit in slant. I stopped consuming traditional dairy (milk and cheese) and started dropping again.

I drink lowfat kefir, eat fat free yogurt and take calcium suppliments.

I’ve lost weight drinking skim milk, low fat yougart and . So, no, consuming low fat dairy products certainly does not hurt in . But, everyone is different. Whatever you do, just make sure you are not consuming the full-fat products.
