each do HIIT cardio? any help appreciated . [hiit] [decent rate]
Hi there
Ive read about HIIT and it sounds great! This is what I did . tell me if this works, if not let me know what I can do to improve.
I the treadmill (or eliptical)
I use to go on the treadmill for a decent rate for May 1 min
At 5 min walk will be my fastest for a minute
Then normal rhythm will continue for the next 4 min (10 min)
Then 10 minutes I do the running for one minute
Then normal for 4 min (15 min) 15 min
At again make a run for my last 4 minutes minute
Then finish normal rate (20 min)
Do I have the right idea or am I far off? Thanks for the suggestions!

Reply:well I usually just walk or do the eliptical…when I do the HIIT and add the hard running I really really feel the workout. Thanks for the advice!

Reply:HIIT cardio is actually very good for weight loss, you have the right idea. i run for 3 minutes, then run as fast as i can for 1 minute i actually found that 5 minutes was way to long and my body was starting to get used to the pace, in HIIT cardio you dont want that you want to always change your heart rate. but make sure you do a cool down at the end for atleast 3 minutes of just walking.
