Halfway to my goal weight! [yeast free diet] [goal weight]

: Cool: Hi everyone!

I wanted to announce that I am officially on my half point: 134! (My starting weight was 148 around March 1., Im 37 at 54). I am determined to achieve 120.

m still following a yeast-free diet, although I slipped up maybe three times and had some wine. Have not missed much: I enjoy flavored wraps and corn, potatoes and brown rice. They also get by without vinegar and seasonings: I use olive oil, lemon juice and herbs. Besides the occasional wine, this is the easiest diet ever to maintain. It has become my way of life.

I finally reached the only thing you need to do to lose weight: Change your eating habits. I found what I was allergic, and I shot from opposite . and accepting the facts and the reassignment of my food choices.

Reply:Frogurl,

Congratulations on your success!!! I too, look back on all the bread, vinegars, and wine I was consuming and just want to gag! I was in a vicious cycle of "poisoning" myself and gradually feeling worse. Had this allergy been brought to my attention sooner, I wouldn't have suffered so needlessly. Not ONE Dr ever suggested my symptoms could be food related, and that bothers me. Now whenever I see ANY Dr. I TELL them about my story, and suggest he/she pass the info on tho their patients!!

Reply:Congratulations guy!

I am about 1/3 of the way to my goal of 150. I am 5'7 1/2" and currently am at 174. I have lost 11 pounds since February 4th, and I am finding too that all I really needed to do was change my eating habits and lifestyle habits. When I think back to how I used to eat, its really scary. I feel so much better about myself, although I still have a ways to go. Keep it up!!

Reply:Mgraylorn,

Congratulations to you on your success!!!! I also have high blood pressure and have to watch it with the salt. I know it runs in my family, but I'm crossing my fingers that when I lose this weight, I will stabilize my BP. I'm on meds now, but hoping to eventually get off. The first thing the Dr. told me was to lose some weight, so here I go!!

Reply:Yay! I think you found the answer – it isn't a diet, its an eating lifestyle! If you can change bad eating habits to make good nutritional and quantity choices, you've won the battle.

I changed my eating habits last October; 1/2 to 1/3 the amount of meat, carbs and fats I used to eat, increasing veggies and fruit, cutting waaay back on dessert and junk food. Making sure I get 30 minutes of exercise (walking) 5 times a week. So far I've lost 27 pounds, and I have 8 to go to reach my target weight of 134 pounds (49, 5'6"). I also have high blood pressure, so I try to avoid high salt foods.

Reply:Thank you Sammy and guy for the support!!

Reply:Congratulations!!! :D

Reply:Congratulations!! Keep up the good work…I started my "diet" on April 1st and am hoping to get down to 125-130 by mid-July. I don't like calling it a diet though because I'm planning on permanently changing my eating habits. I'm doing the Somersizing program by Suzanne Somers, so hopefully I'll be posting on my success too in a few months! :o )
