HIIT 4-5 times a week? [hiit] [tredmill]

Ok Yesterday my first session of 20 minutes on my treadmill

2 min warmup at level 5 min

1 at level 6 (step mill rate) minus
1 Level 7 min at the level of 9,775,031 89,775,031 minus level 9

and Repeat this 3 times and finish it off with a further 2 min the level of 5

i had to stop several times while doing for a min or two . but boy when I was done I felt sooo awesome and I was breathless and sweating . is it ok if I do this 4-5 times a week? I really think I can do this . Yesterday was a little challenging but I think it went .

im 17 years old and weigh 205 pounds . I eat healthy as well

breakfast: oatmeal
Lunch two vegetarian burgers with tomato, lettuce, pickles and ketchup (no Cheese)

dinner: what my mother makes

i not only juices and water to drink . Im vegetarian .

so is safe to do five days a week? I heard it put pressure on ur heart . but I really enjoy.

Reply: is a very healthy way to exercise as long as you have no medical conditions that may play up like heart problems, breathing difficulties, joint problems etc. It can be beneficial with getting your heart pumping, assisting with cardivascular fitness as well as fat loss. Take it easy when starting out so that you don't overdo it.

To get the most benefit from , take at least five minutes to warm up and cool down instead of the 2 minutes you did. It can take a while for your heart rate to get into the fat burning zone so the longer you warm up for the better the benefit. Cool down is just as important, take your time to get back to normal heart beat instead of stopping suddenly – and 2 minutes is fairly suddenly.

I would suggest you try and get to 30 minutes of in between the warm up and cool down periods to get the most benefit. The aim of is to get your heart working and then give it a chance to recover before blowing it out again. Say do your 5 min warm up, then 1 min at lvl 7, then alternate between 1-2 minutes at lvl 9 with 1-2 minutes at lvl 6 or 7. The aim is to push yourself at the highest level and then go through a short recovery time without actually stopping. Best benefits would be obtained exercising at least 4 days a week, so 5 isn't a problem, just make sure you have at least one rest day a week.

As for diet, are the veggie burgers fried, high in calories or both? Try and go for alternatives to this if they are either, even cut back to one for lunch and have some extra salad or veg. You have not mentioned any fruit or snacks in between meals, eat fresh fruit, low fat yoghurt, nuts or veg between meals. The longer you go without eating, the hungrier you get and the more you are likely to overeat when you actually eat.

the veggie burgers are 90 calories each and are not fried u cook em in a microwave :)

i eat fruits when im hungry or munch on some whole grain cereal for snacks
