How can I stop having to nibble? [quitting smoking] [cravings]
Its weird, this is as bad if not worse than quitting smoking.
I smoking cessation (two years in May) and yes I still draw, but it has fidgeting stopped.
Now I have this problem with less food. I never ate much, but it is what I ate, which is unhealthy.
Does Anyone know how to “want” to stop crunch, Munch,, chewing or other word to use? I do not want to eat, Im not hungry, I just want to chew. Does that make sense?
The cruchier better for me. Like smoking, I had a cigarette in my hand after eating or driving . it took a long time to get over . Need and that it wasnt just the smoke part of it, it was because of my habit hands had.
I know people will say or celery carrorts blah . eat! : Nono:
Im not out to eat food, I want a way to stop this . figure Gawd, I can not explain it. Its like I had some Melba toast (thats what it is to help me through this, but I do not want the extra intake of food) to get me through it.
Would anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!
Reply:I have the same problem. I always feel like I have to eat. I usually occupy myself with something else, like do laundry, check my email. And I drink a glass of water with a straw. It's this mindless thing that I do when I'm on the computer, and it puts something in my mouth, so I'm not eating. You could chew gum too.
Now that I'm on Weight Watchers, I just eat a 0 point food when I feel the need to munch. The 0 point foods that I eat are celery dipped in salsa, carrots, grape tomatoes, Fiber One cereal, Rye Krisp crackers, a slice of Healthy Life whole wheat bread. There's lots of stuff. I know you said that you didn't want to be eating at all, but eating fuels your metabolism to burn more efficiently, so I say eat away! I do!
