How is this possible? [one a day weight smart vitamins] [one a day]

I understand this . I started with the weight of a smart vitamins every day about 3 weeks ago . Then I think about two weeks ago I added CLA in the mix, after reading about it here. At first I lost 3 pounds and went down to 157 . but now this week I am at 163! How is that possible? I havent eaten nothing. i havent eaten more than usual or anything.I dont understand and im very upset. (

Reply:Try not to go by weight so much. Go by what the mirror and measurements are telling you. With weight you have so many factors. Like the above post mentioned, you will have a natural weight fluctuation. Water weight can play a big part of what the scale says. Turning your fat into muscle can also show a weight gain. The scale for the everyday person is not your friend and will give you false readings and many time false feelings of grief. If your clothes start to fit like you want and you like what you are seeing in the mirror (problem areas not as pronounced and seeing muscle tone) are a great measurement. I would also start doing bodyfat measurements.

Reply:In the past few weeks i have changed my eating habits for the better… right before i added the viatmins. but since then i havent changed them back to my old ways, or bad. Thats why im just a little confused. I added the viatmins bc they are vitamins and i didnt take any before, and they are supposed to be good for people trying to lose weight. so there is no harm in taking them.
the cla i added after hearing people on here talk about. im not expecting a miracle pill by any means. but if something can give me more energy or somewhat curb my appetite then why not.

To me losing 3 lbs then gaining that back plus some in a short time just seemed a little odd to me. But maybe … not…

Look, over the years I've tried everything. Pills, fad diets, you name it. NOTHING works in taking the weight off and keeping it off except plain, old fashioned hard work. You don't have to bust your butt exercising in order to lose weight, although it IS an added benefit to weight loss and health. But you simply have to watch WHAT you eat and HOW MUCH. Those pills don't work if you just add them to your usual daily routine. You have to work WITH the pills. And that's why the pills don't work at all, because in order to see benefits from them, you have to combine them with proper diet and exercise. And with proper diet and exercise, you're going to see benefits anyway. So it's not the pills doing it, it's you. Most pills are a hoax, just a way to get your hard-earned dollar out of you. You DON'T need the pills to lose weight. All you need is you. And a whole lot of common sense.

Reply:You weigh 3 lbs more than when you started. That could just as easily be a product of water weight gain as your loss! It's too small an amount to stress or celebrate over, and it probably has absolutely nothing to do with the pills you're taking.

If you've tried so many pills, why are you trying these too? And are you still taking them after three weeks and absolutely no results?

Reply:i do know there is no miracle pills.. ive tried enough to know that there is no miracle pills… but i weigh more now then i did before i started taking them. if anything you would think that they just wouldnt work or do anything but instead i gained??? it makes no sense to me.

Reply:I think what has happened is that you've learned there are no magic pills. Weight fluctuates as much as 5 pounds in a day. The loss you saw was probably no more than a brief loss of water. Get rid of the pills and concentrate instead on a healthy diet and exercise. It's the only thing that really works.
