How many calories burned? [choice meals] [healthier choice]
Okay, so I eat healthier food choices and just got serious about my exercise. Now I choose to use treadmil families, it shows how many calories you burn, etc. What would a good number to reach on each day show up and lose body fat be a number. The highest number of calories burned in a session that I was 300, so what would a good number every day to achieve, I know that there are other exercises to burn calories, but with the treadmill, I can close a number to see how I I burned a lot. Nor is it a case of just how much you can do each day, Im sure Id go for a long time. I just want a good number to work at.
Thanks advance.

Reply:I didagree, to a certain point,
walking on a treadmill for hour or more at a fast pace walk…your feet is straight ahead all the time, vs walking on just regular ground, cement
/asfault…you can turn your feet if your just walking out in public,…treadmill is full straight ahead the full hour or more none stop and your basicly putting more presure on your feet constantly useing a treadmill.
anyway maybe your right and I'm wrong?….but when I walk both ways (treadmill/ or out in public) my feet seem to really hurt more after walking on the treadmill…just from my last 6/7 months experinace, however that may not be true for everyone….if somethings going to be different its always going to happen to meee…lol.

Reply:hi,
I walk on a treadmill also, and I have lost a lot of weight and in my stomach I'm loseing now.
bout the only thing I can advised you about the treadmill is start out slow like maybe 3.0mph…for like 30 minutes for a few days the up your speed to 3.5mph and walk 45 minutes for a couple days…then after your sure you can walk faster go to 3.8 mph and walk for an hour…thats where I'm up to sometimes I go 75 minutes if I'm at a good sweat and feel like walking longer.
Anything over 4.8mph is not good in my opinion… you need to think about your feet….and walking on a treadmill is not like walk on the asfault/ cement…your really putting your feet through a work out especially if you need to lose a lot? be sure and wear good shoes and althletic socks or at least a thick sock.
I burn around 400 calories for a hour…but the machines are not correct there only estmated….so if my machine reads I burn 400 caloires I figure about 350 375 or some where in that range.
its not good to try and burn more calories than you consume by exersise.
if your eating more healthy and watching your caloires…then the exercise will sure help you.
good luck.
Hey Chev…….Walking on a treadmill is much better for your feet and legs then Cement or Asphalt.

I do eat healthier choice meals, and try as hard as I can to stay away from junk foods, although I do slip every now and then but that's alright, I really don't have a lot to lose. I actually don't HAVE to lose any weight, I just want to get fitter and be a healthier person.
I do have one other question. About protein, carbs, and all the rest of those sorts of things. When is best to have each one? I mean like, when is it better to have a food that is full of protein etc?
If someone could give me a breakdown of this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thankyou all.

Reply:Remember,
it's what and how much & when you eat that matters most of all when loseing weight, exercise is good but the most important thing is eating healthy & proper nutrition.
A rule of thumb…when your counting how many calories you burn/via exercise…don't count the calorie's but the time you spend exercising each day…the calories you count should be the ones you put in your mouth.
I get hungry counting caloires…..so I eat a lot of fresh fruits….they have calories but not as much as other foods that we tend to eat and I think a fruit calorie is a lot eazier to get rid of(burn) than say a bad calories.
