How to break this cycle? [loose weight] [meal replacement]

Ive tried and tried and tried to lose weight. Im not a big problem in practice, I currently run one hour per day. Im 410 170 # 0 .

I start my day walking 3-4 days a week. I eat a good breakfast usually a shake. Thats all downhill from there. Im not cooking so we usually grab something, I have a sweet tooth out of this world.

HELP!

Reply:Increase the intensity of your exercise. Either walk at a faster pace or start jogging. As your body adjusts to your normal exercise, you burn fewer calories in that same hour. Also, a speed walk will burn more calories per hour than a walk at a moderate pace. Replace your sweets with fruits, and if you are absolutlely dying to have some sort of sweet, do a low calorie single serving to not overindulge (that doesn't mean you have more than one as well). Eat lots of vegetables.

From what you've said here, it doesn't sound like you've tried and tried. First of all, if you're able to walk 1 hour everyday, then you're probably ready to do something more intense like jogging or biking. Second, a shake is NOT a good breakfast. In fact, it's a terrible one. It's all liquid and is entirely manufactured. And someone who also has a sweet tooth, what I've learned is that the body craves sweets, but you need to give it the sweets it was meant for. Those sweets are produced in nature. They're called fruits. You need to start eating a real breakfast and step up your exercise routine before you claim to have tried, tried, and tried.


Reply:Well…..what exactly do you want help with? what types of foods to eat? how to eat healthy on the run? what can you do to replace sweets? you need to lets know what kind of advice you need.

First I would stay away from shakes. They should only be used when you are lacking time. you should try to start your day with a Good meal. Something like Oatmeal is great. Something High in fiber will help to keep you full.

You dont need to be a cook. you should try Preparing things a head of time to take with you to snack on and for meals. Personally I love Sweet Peppers so I cut up about 6 of them in the eavening and keep them in a container in the fridge. In The Morning before I go to work I portion them into ziplock bags so I have them to snack on. If you have a desk at work you should try to keep a stash of good healthy snacks in the desk so that there is always something available.
