How to lose belly? [innertube] [arms and legs]
Ive been working on losing weight and no matter what I still have my fat in my stomach / intestines and do not get bigger. I swim laps 3-4 times a week so all the fat that I lost on my back arms and legs now lives in my belly. I have to grease down . I feel like Im wearing an inner tube! Is it time to change my workout? thanks
Reply:Hi Joy! I had the same problem and nothing seemed to help. I joined the gym and asked a trainer why I was having so much trouble losing weight around my tummy. She told me that the only way to burn that fat off is 25-35 minutes of CARDIO, at least 3-4 times a week. I started running on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Once I was able to handle that ok, I started doing aerobics. Within a month, I lost 10 pounds and my tummy started to go down. I also cut down on carbs and drank plenty of water. A good CARDIO WORKOUT is the key. tummy fat is hard to get rid of. I'm still working on it. Good luck!
Reply:Thank you for your advice and feedback….I need to change up my exercise routine by adding some innercore strength/ and drinking more water…..So situps and I will add the treadmill and some ball exercises….but yes, my friend that is a Dr said fat sticks to fat…eat better…and yes now that I am 36 it is the last area to loose, I need to loose 35lbs and it is all in my gut!

More cardio and diet are the keys..Lisa
Reply:So what you are saying is that you did not really lose weight by excerising, it just transfered from all places into one? This is very stange. I heard that first you will lose weight everywhere else before the area you gained it first but I dont think this has anything to do with that. Maybe you should do exercises for the stomach in addition to everything. And make sure you drink enough water.
Reply:There is a book out called "The Ab Diet". It was written by the editor of Men's Health Magazine. I thought it was a great book, not "gimmicky", but right on with all the latest thoughts on burning fat and gaining muscle. I have been "somewhat" following his suggestions and have noticed an improvement. I got my copy at the library, so didn't cost anything to read it. It has a bright orange cover with black lettering.
Reply:Nope….just keep up with what you are doing. There is no way to control where the fat gets lost from. There is no such thing as spot reduction.
