Reply:Chy, I totally recommend finding a new doctor. It is NOT okay for a doctor to talk to you with that kind of disrespect. It also doesn't sound like she informed you enough about the side effects of the shot. Can you see someone else?

Reply:The depo shot was the worst hing I could have ever taken for bc. I didn't really gain weight with it but my dr told me the same thing as yours and I am very fortunate to have a wonderful gyn. He told me you do gain weight but it is because you start having food cravings. I prepared myself for that and really had to watch what I ate. I was only on it long enough for 3 shots. I couldn't handle the mood swings and the mean old witch I was becoming. About 3 mo after I got off…I was back to normal. However, now I am dealing with hypoT and now I have gained weight. This BB is a good place to come for support. As for your dr….if you ever feel uncomfortable or dislike what your dr says…then find another. That is what I did and I don't know what I would do if our ins was to ever change and he didn't take it. I love him so much. I wish you luck.-Roni
