Reply:Hi guy! I was in much the same boat you are. I am 5'10 and peaked at about 270lbs…I am now down to about 215 and feel great.
Afew questions for you:
Have you actually calculated how many calories you are eating every day? you may still be eating more then you think.
Are you Doing any Strength training?
how ofton are you eating and do you now how much Carb,Protein, and Fat you are eating?
MY Advice:
Find out how many calories you should be eating (1800 is usually good for weight loss)
Try to keep your ratio of nutrients at 40-50% Carb, 30-40% Protein, and 20% Fat.
Try to Eat 5-6 times a day…try to not go more then 3-4 hours with out eating. Everytime you eat try to keep the ratio of nutrients the same.
Eating 5-6 times a day and having protein everytime can make a big difference. Eating more ofton will keep your metabolism higher as will Eating Protein with all meals. The Protein helps because it has a high thermic effect (Calories burned via digestion). the protein will also help you feel more full.
If you arent doing strength training then you should add some to your exercise. IT will minimize any Lean Tissue loss and Kepp your metabolism higher.
Reply:Hi, I hope I can be of some help. You had mentioned that you do the treadmill, bike and rower. Well I heard today that muscle is what burns fat. Maybe start doing some weight training. If you are going to a gym already, you shouldn't have any problem getting some weightlifting done. Maybe cut back a little on the cardio and fill that time with some weight training. It's just a suggestion and I also am just getting really in the groove with loosing weight.
