Is it even possible after 3 kids . [flat stomach]
have a flat stomach? My youngest is 6 and Im 55 and weigh 135, but really, a lot of flab. Would be busting my butt crack to make a real difference? Ive heard that after a couple of kids the only way to surgery. Im only 28. Any advice would be helpful.

Reply:It is possible for some, but not for others. You'll never know for sure until you try. It all depends on the elasticity of your tissues (genetics/age/water consumption) and whether the abdominal muscles were severely damaged during pregnancy or merely stretched.
Why not just work toward "better" instead of striving for "perfect"? Sounds corny, I know, but you shouldn't hold yourself to impossibly high standards. Your tummy carried and protected three of the most important things you'll ever contribute to this world. You've earned that pooch.
Don't avoid trying because you might fail. You never know — with a little work, you could have the flat stomach you're seeking.
Edited to add that any improvement to your abdominal strength will help support your lower back and improve your posture. Better posture makes you look trimmer. Make sure to work your lower abs (where they attach to your pelvic bone), too. They're often overlooked.
