Question about counting calories vs. Fat [calories per day] [bottom line]

Ok, I have a question for anyone who can answer –

I trying to seek approximately 1500 . Now yesterday I ate 1500 calories and about 60 grams of fat. Today I ate 1500 calories, but only about 10 grams of fat (of course very different meals ate yesterday and today). Anyway, my question is – Ive always believed that the to losing weight is calories in versus calories out, I was wondering if I eat 1500 calories the same, but 60 grams of fat instead of 10 grams of fat, that will impact weight loss, where the total is 1500 calories either way?

Reply:guy, I know what you mean here and theres others that will certainly disgree,
I try to have a few grams of fat in every meal I have because your body needs a certain amout of good fats, so if you balance out your meals along with your calories, like 3 grams of fat with say 350 calories..or 6 grams of fat and about 60 calories it all evens out as long as you stay close to your calorie count. and by almeans try to have your low calorie meals with some grams of fat, I do this with portion control, counting calories is not always what you think 1500 can turn into 1700 eazy, its a rule of thmb to estamate over your count than under.
And remember most all foods we eat has a few grams of fat, so don't worry bout the grams of fat so much eat your good calories (proteine, veggis, fiber, drink lots of water.

Off the wall,
but I was reading something the other day at a Dr's Office some magizne? it was saying that most asian/or oriental people that live in the east, drink warm tea or warm water? they eat lots of hi carb rice..and they tend to be skinny, why? because most of them do drink warm tea /warm water…the magazine goes on to say, that on the contarary drinking ice cold water or just cold water does not do a body good because it mixes with the fats that are stored in your body? and more or less makes the fat stay in your body longer? I never fully understood this but it it did make a lot of sense.

I need to do some more reserch on this.
cold water vs warm water..as per helping out with your diet.

Reply:yeah, that makes sense…

Reply:From what I've learned, calories ultimately are what it comes down to. That being said, 1g of fat has 9 calories while carbs and protien are 4 calories for each gram. So, you get more bang for your buck when you use your calories for carbs and protien than when you use them for fat. Just think of how much broccoli you could eat to match the calories in a handful of potato chips…
