really need a plan to lose 10 pounds [quot] [diet]
Hi guys, Im really confused about what to call meals throughout the day. Can anyone give me a diet to follow? For example if one day? I need to lose 10 pounds and can not seem to get it together. I know I do better if I 5-6 small meals a day. can someone help me? by the way Im 52 “and weigh 135 pounds. I wish I could get back to 125, I so happy. I starved myself in high school and got downto 98 pounds and then after school I made bulimia when I saw the terrible error *** away from my baby to school and got (I try to go back) anyway, I need a direction and a plan to follow daily instead of trying to guess what to eat . i workout 4-5 times a week, 2-3 days with cardio days weights/2/3. I am completely open to all suggestions! thanx
Reply:First, I don't know what you eat now but I lost 10 lbs just eliminating soda, fruit juice, dairy and sweets. But at 135 you probably don't eat that stuff anyway. Here are some suggestions:
Day 1
one 2-3 egg whites with broccoli-1 banana
two 3-4 ozs turkey or chicken with tomato
three apple, banana or orange
four salmon or halibut with broccoli, spinach or carrots
five 1 cup popcorn with garlic powder
Day 2
one Cottage Cheese with fruit
two 2-3 rice cakes with peanut butter
three turkey, chicken or tuna in lettuce or spinach
four piece of fruit
five 6 oz salmon fillet with steamed veggies
Day 3
one 1 Cup oatmeal with raisins or peaches
two 2 tablespoons Granola with yogurt
three Chicken breast with lettuce & tomato
four piece of fruit
five 4-6 ozs fish or turkey with cauliflower & broccoli
Walk 40 minutes everyday.
Make sure the yogurt isn't full of sugar,the cottage cheese is lowfat and you bake the fish. Also Hormel canned chicken is easy and pretty tasty.

Reply:If you want to lose 10lbs quickly, first try eating oatmeal for breakfast. You can add some fruit to it like raisins or peaches. For lunch eat any kind of sandwich on wheat bread. Use low fat meat like turkey. Just don't add any cheese, mayo, etc.. but do add some lettuce and tomatoes. Also have some fruit like apples, oranges, or other vegetables like carrotts or green peppers.
For dinner eat something like grilled chicken.
I stay away from eggs b/c of their high cholesterol and sat. fat content. No whole milk or ice cream :nono:
This diet combined with 30 min. of daily exercise works very well for me. My only problem is staying away from cookies and cake. I still eat those things sometimes but I dont gain or lose any weight when I do.
Reply:I totally understand where you are. I too use to starve etc and I know being 30+ its hard to loose weight now because my metabolism is dead! Anyway, I just lost 18lbs in about 8 weeks. Here's what I did…
I drink a glass of water 1 st thing in the am(7-8am)….I read re-supplying your cells w/ water 1st thing really helps the body let go of fat. I eat eggs for breakfast…usually scrampled w/ cheese. At about 10 I eat an apple or string cheese…I usally have a salad w/ some type of meat or chicken for lunch, or eat meat & cheese or anything you would normally have on a sandwhich w/ out the bread….then around 2 its the celery & carrots w/ peanut butter from wawa…dinner is whatever as long as I skip the bread, pasta, potatoes, chips, and crackers.
I eat veggies and fruits, chicken salad, tuna salad, all meats, eggs, etc. Im skipping everything that is "refined" as bread, pasta, potatoes, crackers are. ON sundays, I eat everything and anything….I always say this shocks the system….
Eating every 2 hrs and especially eating raw fruits and veggies really seems to get my metabolism going! I dont really worry about fats like using mayo or salad dressings and enjoy them(these tend to make you full anyway) but I dont go to extremes and snack on pork skins or a lb of bacon.
This works for me but I also know Im very sensitive to refined carbs…maybe it would work for you?

That is quite strange…I am also 5'2'' and 135 pounds…and also looking to lose ten pounds. I've already lost three pounds. It took me over a month to do this, so don't get discouraged if you don't see results right away, you'll be doing it the healthy way. I usually eat four small meals a day (between 1100-1200 calories) and workout 5 times a week. I gave up eating junk foods, cokes, fatty desserts etc. I mainly drink water with my meals and it seems to be helping out tremendously. Instead of having something crappy when you're hungry in between meals, grab a piece of fruit. Good luck with your weight loss!
