So I'm eating between 1200-1400 calories per day [low fat cheese] [veggies]
low carb, low fat cheese, light chips . but not much fruit veggies
I have lost about 5 pounds or so about two weeks, but I wanted to know how long that would last.
I really do not like vegetables, but I know I should eat more of them. As long as I stay at 1200 a day, I will continue to lose weight, even if I disagree vegetables often?
Reply:You will continue to lose weight…but you will probably be lacking in many nutrients. If you are not going to eat many fruits and veggies then you should probably look at a multivitamin to supplement your diet. One of the biggest problems with low cal diets is the lack of proper nutrients.
I take One-A-Day Weight Smart everyday and an extra Vitamin C supp
I also am trying to eat as much protein as possible, I usually eat it with every meal.
my typical day lately has been:
- sugar free yogurt early in the morning
- 3 egg beaters with 2 piece of light toast (35 calories each) and one piece of 2% milk cheese
- a few of the "Light" brand chips for a snack or a Light Laughing Cow cheese
- dinner is usually some sort of protein with a small side of pasta, sometimes none. or a sandwich
Reply:tryingtolose, I am doing almost the exact same thing, except I am eating closer to 1,400 – 1,500 calories a day, and mostly just on weekdays. I have lost 12 pounds since this summer and kept it off. This summer I ate very healthy, a lot of fruit, veggies, a lot of protein, etc. Ever since I moved away from home in Sept., I find myself eating more and more processed food, like you said, light chips, low-fat cheese, light bread, etc. I just don't like winter fruit all that much (I love strawberries and blueberries, but they are so expensive in the winter) and have a hard time MAKING myself eat veggies. The weight is still off but I still feel pretty unhealthy about what I'm eating
