Switching from Atkins to Sugar Busters [viable solution] [rest of my life]
Hey All.
Don t know if Im in the right forum, but here goes. I am reading the book Sugar Busters and I really think that the best way of eating for me because its something I can see myself for the rest of my life.
Atkins, on the other hand, would not be a viable solution for me. I know myself. I know I would lose weight with her, but I highly doubt I could keep her.
I get the feeling (and indeed Ive heard) not Sugar Busters makes the pounds come off as quickly as Atkins. My question is would it be stupid to Atkins to use to get over my ideal weight, Sugar Busters use to maintain?
Would the Atkins weight bounce back while doing Sugar Busters?
For reference, Im 61 “225 pounds now. I want to about 185 (which is very thin for me because I have a large frame).
Thanks for all the help guys
Reply:I have heard the experiences of several people switching from Atkins to Carbohydrate Addicts' . . . and with most there was a little weight gain (typically about 5 pounds, with a couple up to about 10) over the first two weeks, then it started to come off again. So, no, it is not terribly foolish to think about losing weight with one and switching to the other. BUT, IMHO, it would be better just to start with Sugarbusters and stick with that. Changes in diet are an adjustment for the body. Good luck!
