Hello everybody! I used to post here a lot a long time ago . but have not really in quite some time. I was just wondering if any of you take or have taken phentermine and what were your results? I lost 110 pounds the right way and LOD. Ive kept it off for over two years. But . I have 50 pounds to go and my doctor told me about this phentermine . but I told him I did some research. I know everything about the drug itself, but I wanted to hear the real people! Thank you for any of you who answer!

Reply:I experienced a significant weight gain over the past few years and have tried everything (including Atkins, SoBe and good 'ole diet and exercise) but nothing worked. Discovered these phen in November and have lost 25 pounds so far! These pills have given me back my "old" life! I get them on the net but I recommended them to a friend who went to her doctor. Dr. prescribes them all the time. He said they are good and effective, no major side effects. Plus, they are covered by insurance.

But I'm mainly getting that from sticking to a low-carb plan and exercising regularly now. So taking the Phentermine helps you start on your diet, but learning your habits and finding a way to stay on a healthy diet forever is the key. I find when I take the phentermine it makes me not THINK about eating, and I have to make sure I eat regularly small meals throughout the day. Hey everyone. I have one question before I buy Phentermine online. Im 59 “and 140 and despite eating very little and do everything Im suppossed to do, I can not seem to lose weight, in fact I went to my usual 124-140 within 2 months. Yes I have Hypothyroid, but it is controlled by Levoxyll and within reach.

I just started on phentermine my Doc wanted me to try it out. I quit smoking 2 months ago and managed to put on 25 lbs. I would not suggest ordering these over the net and I have never taken a diet pill in my life…just needed a jump start. I go to see the Doc every 4 weeks and we discuss options to find out what works best!!!

The side effects for me is jittery, sweating, lots of engergy. These effects subside after an hour or so. I do have to force myself to take in enough calories, no hunger at all so far.

Did you find out anything else about the EKG? That is really scary. I have been thinking about eating disorder stuff a lot since the lady in Florida (oh my gosh my brain is failing I can't think of her name) Her electrolyte balance was off. Anyway, I would like to get this under control before I end up permanently damaging my body. I can tell you must be feeling similarly. One thing I remember learning from the eating disorder specialist 10 years ago-is that she said to approach binge eating as something that provided for a need. She said we cannot try to eliminate it completely as it has been there for us and helped us through troubled times. I thought this sounded strange but she said often if a person tries to eliminate it completely-it just gets worse. She recomended giving myself permission to binge when I really needed to but suggested I keep it to one or two foods. I chose airpopped popcorn with butter -as much as I wanted. And if I needed something sweet I chose something else. (It always seems my binges are from craving salty or sweet.) I am going to give this way of thinking renwed effort

I felt kind of bad thinking about my last post-try a different drug! But I find that offline no one really wants to talk about them in a practical sort of way. It's easy for someone who doesn't understand to say "I would never take a diet drug" or :nono: "just stop". You know, the reason why I didn't post on the eating disorder board to begin with is because it seems like no one talks much about binge eating being an eating disorder. It seems like the only thing you hear about is anorexia and bulimia. I guess binge eating is too shameful to talk about. I don't know. But, anyway……guess what I found out today. I had a physical last week. And I've just started going to a new doctor. I've been feeling bad (tired mostly) for years and have had night sweats for over 7 years (and I'm only 37). So, I got my physical, and this doctor did an EKG on me. I've never had a doctor do one before, but he said that is standard procedure. He called today and said that all my bloodwork was normal, but the EKG wasn't. Now I'm scared. I'm not taking any more Phentermine. I took the old Phen-Fen combination for about two weeks many years ago, and I'm thinking that may be have damaged my heart. I'm really scared. I work the graveyard shift and have to take something to "stay awake and alert" sometimes, and now I'm scared to take anything. And I was really loving the Phentermine. I was wide awake on that stuff! I've got to try to use will power, I guess, to not binge. Now, all this is going to make me nervous, and will make me want to pig out! My doctor said it may be "nothing", but he wants me to see a cardiologist to be sure. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your post. You had me really wanting to try Adipex, but now I'm scared to take anything.

I have experienced headaches with Phentermine as well. I am also a binge eater and I understand that part of it. I have taken Adipex, which is a brand name Phentermine based drug. And I did not get headaches on Adipex. I really don't understand the differences in the brand name vs generic, but I can say I have tried both more than once just to be sure. And every time I switch back to Phentermine I get the headaches. Unfortunately the Adipex is much more expensive. But for my binge eating it works good. It seems to work quickly and I can take it only when I need to & doesn't seem to bother my sleep as much. I have also tried every natural remedy out there and I saw an eating disorder specialist for a year. Though all that stuff made me a healthier person, nothing controlled the binges.
