Reply:Hubby is buying me and my daughter pom poms off of e-bay for our costumes. And a woman at his work is making our costumes for us, so we'll be exactly a like. I just need to decide what type of sneakers to wear. I think just the cheapy white canvas sneakers….because my regular sneakers are sketchers a won't match my costume….
This will be the first I will dress up since 10th grade!!

I was gonna go "naughty," but I think it'll end up being somewhere in between. I did try Old Navy, but they only had a couple of shirts that came close. One didn't fit right, and the other was a little longer than what I wanted. I'm like you, I want it just long enough to cover my pouch! 
I might go back & try them again, though, in case they got any new shirts in since last time. Wish me luck!

Reply:Well, I'm off to do some more shopping for costume stuff… what a pain this is becoming! I swear, it's easier when I just make my own costume from scratch. but if I can just find the right shirt or even a polo, the rest will be easy. Dh's costume (priest) was super-easy – just a click of the mouse on ebay!

Those are probably the socks I'll wear. I have kind of big calves, so it's hard to get knee socks to stay up.
My hair is long enough to do that (about 5" below my shoulders) but it looks really ridiculous on me, so I'll probably get some little-girl type barrettes or clips & do something with that. How does that sound?

Thanks Snoopy! I agree on the saddle shoes, but Payless didn't have any, and neither did anyone else. I'll keep checking, in case they get some before Halloween. Not sure on the socks – I guess it depends on what shoes I end up wearing – I'll wear whatever length socks look best with them. I was really hoping to get the button down shirt so I could wear a thin black tie with it, but I guess I'll have to go with the polo. Thanks for your input!

Reply:This is off-topic, but I need your opinions for my Halloween costume (school girl). I bought a short red plaid skirt that is exactly what I was looking for. But I'm having a tough time finding the right top to wear with it – I wanted a short sleeve button down that is short enough to leave untucked, but everything I'm finding has something about it that I don't like. What do you think about a polo-type shirt – do some schools let their girls wear them? I have no idea, but it would be easy to find one of them.
Also, what type of shoes should I wear, and what color nylons? I'm thinking either white Keds-type sneakers & socks (with tan nylons cuz my skin is sooooo white )… or I have these black chunky-high-heel shoes that are sort of like a closed-toe sandal, a little dressy… with either black or white tights. Whaddaya think?
I obviously didn't go to a private school, so I'm a little lost on this – any help would be appreciated!

Reply:LOL! Hey, at least I left for a good reason – went to Fitday to enter my foods for the day. I haven't been using it for quite some time now, and I decided I need to get back into the habit. If I missed out on being first, I'm glad it's cuz I was on fitday, rather than being out buying a candy bar or some other junk!
