Too much exercise bad? Leads to starvation? [daily calorie intake] [starvation mode]

Ok I have a question about exercise.

I possessions have all read about how if you starve yourself or do not get recommended minimum , your body starts to go in and stores fat and in turn, burns and muscle also slows your metabolism.

Now what happens when you get your daily calories to exercise, but many?

For example I somewhere consumers 1500-1800 calories per day, and I burn 1050 calories a day through this exercise alone. This does not apply to the other calories I burn only the bodily functions, casual walk around the house / school and such.

Is too much exercise a bad thing? Is burning too many calories on one day to send me into ?

I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and I never feel hungry during the day?

1500-1800 calories should help you lose weight, and if you only exercise about 65 to 75 minutes each day should work to lose about a pound or two a week.

thats what I/m curently doing…I take in about 1700 calories daily and exercise bout an 65-75 minutes on the treadmill at a moderate fast pace 3.9 mph bout 3 1/2 to 4 miles..I burn over 400 caloires anywhere from 450 to 475 to 500..but thats man made machines telling me what I burn so I don't count on that all that much , what I go by is my weight loss each week or what them scales says.
if my machine says I burn 475 calories within 60 to 75 minutes, I take that wih a grain of salt and not to seriously about what it says there.
I do sweat and have a good workout each time I exercise, feel better after I cool off have my shower..have a good cold glass of water.
I mostly exercise to feel better…and if it speeds up my weight loss then thats just the iceing on the cake sorta speak.

I think to answer your question about exercising to much, unless your an athlete, yes exercise to much will take its toll on you rather or not you go into or not you will probably burn out!
just use simple common sense eat right and exercise for a hour or so each day..that should be enough and do the trick.

Is it good to exercise if your feeling bad…like a cold ? but not so sick your in bed or anything? I was wondering bout exercising while I have a head cold?

Echoing JM, that sounds a little overoptimistic…that's an 11 mile run every day. Not many people could pull that off!
A lot of gym equipment overstates the caloric expenditioure…good for sales I guess.

Judge by your weight loss whether you are threatening . For example if you are losin a pound a week all is probably just fine. But if you are losing 2 pounds or more a week then you are flirting with developing metabolic overefficiency…starvation response.

Reply:Are you sure you’re burning 1000 cals a day on exercise alone? If you are you need to be upping your cals by at least 500/800 to stay healthy, your body needs 1200-1500 calories a day to maintain it's self in a healthy state after you exercise your only leaving your body 500-800 calories a day to live on. What type of exercise are you doing? Walking Burns 300-400 Calories Per Hour, Running Burns Around 600 Calories Per Hour; Swimming Burns Around 600 Calories Per Hour.
