Trimspa my story so far, not so good . [flab] [trimspa]
Reply:I also want to add that I felt nothing after taking 6 of these pills a day. I feel the same way I did before I took them. Am I supposed to feel full after I take them?
On a side note, I do drink two red bulls a day but during the 10 day period averaged 1200 calories intake per day. I drank water with my meals and ate a lot of turkey and of course did the slimfast drink for dinner.
I also gained weight on trimspa, stop taking it now. nothing's wrong with you everydbody's body reacts different. I read another post where a another person gained weight on that stuff. I'am going to try something else.
Reply:Trimspa didn't work for me either. I took them for about 6 weeks. Why some pills work for some and not for others, I'll never know. Last year I ordered some pills through the mail and they actually worked, I lost 14 pounds. However, the company has been sued for false statements and they are being investigated. But I can vouch, they actually worked. Who knows! just whatever you do, don't give up.

Reply:Well, after 2 weeks I had lost 4lbs on Trimspa BUT, it made me a cranky B***H!! I was sooo grouchy, emotional and everything got on my nerves. I stopped taking them last week and have noticed a marked improvement in my mood, I'm back to my old happy go lucky but still fat self! Man! I really was hoping this product would be it for me. Oh well, back to the drawing board!

Reply:me also.tried trimspa,I gained wight also. to make it so bad it seemed like i was carving more sweets than before. I don't get it either. I think Anna was on the one with ephera before they took it off the market.
Reply:Hi, all. I wanted to throw this out there, and see what everyone thinks… I believe that pills like Trimspa are basically a placebo, and a potentially dangerous one at that. The people who have success with them believe that these pills are going to help them reach their goals, so subconsciously, they eat better, exercise more, etc., and the weight comes off… which it would do without the pills. It is not the pills working wonders, it is that the ones taking them have finally committed themselves to a healthier lifestyle. The ones who take them and don't have success are the ones who think taking the pills are all they have to do. They don't make any changes to their eating/exercise regime and therefore see no results.
Case in point, I read a post about Anna Nicole and she said she basically ate only fruit while she was taking these pills. While that is not the way to do it, eating only fruit is going to make you lose weight for a while… let's see if she keeps it off!
I agree with you wholeheartedly…I really believe it's my changes in my eating habits that are helping me to lose weight rather than the Trimspa itself. I went to the cafeteria today at my job and I realized that I haven't eaten the buttered popcorn there in a month. I used to eat it every single day. I also used to have a cheeseburger or chicken fingers and fries. I now eat salad or soup everyday that I bring in myself and I have saved a lot of money from not eating in the cafeteria. I also realized that I have not gotten anything out of the snack machine for a month. I used to get chocolate chip cookies or chips every day. If I were still doing those things and then taking Trimspa I would not have lost a pound. However, having said that, Trimspa DEFINITELY helped me get started. I would be 10 pounds heavier without it. It truly has helped curb my appetite, which enabled me to make better food choices. My problem was HUNGER, pure and simple. I just could not control my appetite. TrimSpa really helped me with that and then when I lost the first 6 pounds, I was so happy it gave me the encouragement to continue to eat healthier. I think that's half the battle. I have been struggling for 2 years since the birth of my baby to lose this weight. I had a very difficult delivery and a collicky baby and I just ate and ate for comfort. I have tried everything and TrimSpa was the only thing that has been able to help me get a jumpstart. But I truly agree with you, now it is me who is doing the work more than the Trimspa is and I intend to stop taking it after the next 10 pounds and lose the rest thru exercise and smart eating, because when the first 20 pounds come off, you feel sooooo good about yourself, it tends to become easier to keep on track, at least I feel it will for me.
As far as Anna goes, I completely disagree with the way she is losing all this weight. She said she does not want to eat and has fruit all day and that means her metabolism is going to be shot so when she does eat it will come back on. Just ask Oprah after all she ate were those shakes. The weight started coming back as soon as she ate real food. I have been eating good meals this entire time and I'm still losing weight so I know I'm on the right track. Sorry for such a long note…ha. ha. I'm done now.

Reply:I tried the SlimFast diet a few years ago and gained weight! Maybe it is the SlimFast products. I am using Trimspa right now but it's only been 4 days so I can't comment on anything other than I don't want sugar and it appears to curb some appetite. I missed my morning snack the last few days and didn't realize it until 11:00. In the past I always got hungry at 10:00. I am using some of the SlimFast products now because of convenience. I am trying the low carb drinks but think I am going to have to find something else because they give me gas. I like the Atkins Endulge snack bars for convenience between meals. I don't know how good that is.
This was going to be my point exactly!! Slimfast has soy protein isolate as the main ingredient. Soy is known to interfere with thyroid hormone production. So it more than likely is the SlimFast. Check the ingredients of most of these low carb products……you will see that they are loaded up with soy.
BTW I also agree that ANY weight loss pills are bad for your body and they are very unhealthy.
Reply:185, male, 6ft is bordering on overweight, if it's not. Granted, it depends a lot on body structure.
Reply:185lbs at 6 ft…and male?? You CANT be overweight honey….sounds just right to me. Maybe you should work on toning instead of trying to lose weight. Your chest will harden and tone up if you start lifting weights and doing resistance training. Of course, a little cardio is always a good thing.

Reply:Art, don't feel bad. It did nothing for me either and I gained a couple of pounds taking it with no change in diet. I also felt no different while taking it. It must Just work for the people that it makes feel full when they take it.
Good luck
Reply:Everyone can make excuses why they can't find 30 seconds to down a banana or 20 minutes to run. It's those who find ways around those excuses who are going to succeed. Your metabolism needs a boost… you need to make it happen.
Another issue is 1200 calories largely consisting of Slimfast products. That calorie figure is too low, and Slimfast is mostly sugar.
FWIW, the only thing Trimspa has going for it is good marketing. Among the new breed of bad ephedra replacements, it's still mediocre. It may produce results for some, but it's not the best choice. At least you're taking this product responsibly, being that you're not obese.
Reply:I am curiuos to where you all (those with noe success) are buying trimspa?
Cause if you are buying them from walmart or some other department store. This may be the reason it's not working for you. Make sure you get the real stuff. Walmart and others do copy cat with the same label. Like walmarts bottle only has 30 pills in a bottle. WRONG product. Trimspa sells there botlles dwith 60 pills in it. Plus copmare the ingredients.
Reply:Art I know exactly how you feel..After reading all the posts on this board about all the people having success with these pills I decided to give them a try.Well they didnt do a thing for me either and I was doing just like you and taking 2 pills 3 x's a day..6 pills a day total..I also noticed that they didnt make me feel more energetic or full like people were saying so I just do not know what the deal is..I think that some pills work for others and for some they dont..The ones that they actually do work for should be very grateful that they found something that works for them and stick with it.. But for those of us that have a hard time when we do every thing right well, it just literally sucks..But you have to keep on keeping on and something has gotta give somewhere.. So keep doing the things that you know are right and you have gotta lose something soon somehow…I feel your pain..
Reply:Art, so sorry Trimspa didn't work for you. It is really working for me. I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 8 pounds so far and I can really tell the difference. My jeans were loose this morning. I agree with the other poster, it sounds like you may have something else going on. You should have lost some weight with what you were doing. I'm not exercising at all and I am eating a healthy breakfast and dinner and I'm still losing, but I have a ton of weight to lose so that may be why. The more overweight you are, the more these pills will work. I do feel full when I take my Trimspa and I'm only taking one a day! If you were taking 2 at each meal and still not feeling a difference, then it just isn't going to work for your body type. I hope you find the solution!!
Reply:Sounds like you may have another problem. You should get a blood screen done it maybe that you have a thyroid condition.
I have been taking Trimspa for 10 days now. I have been doing 2 pills 3x/day since the beginning.
I take 2 pills when I wake up at 8:30-9:00 (depends)
I take 2 pills at around noonish
I take 2 pills anywhere from 5-6pm
I am a 25 year old 6"0 male and weigh 185lbs. My body is ok but I am starting to get flab in my chest and starting to develop a pretty nasty looking gut. I have always grown up super skinny and it's finally catching up to me.
after 10 days I now weigh 187lbs
so after all that I gained two pounds.
Not only have I been taking Trimspa, I cut out ALL fast food, I cut out ALL soda, and I have been eating a Slimfast snack bar for breakfast, eating a normal lunch, and drinking a slim fast meal replacement for dinner each night. I have been drinking lots of water.
As for the 6 meal a day thing, I can't do it. It's not going to happen, end of story. I am a senior level systems engineering consultant and I just don't have time to break away and eat a friggin snack. I don't know how people fit all those meals in their day. I will always be a three meal a day person.
I just can't fathom how I gained 2lbs? I used to eat fast food on a daily basis and cut it all out during the 10 day Trimspa trial. I even cut out bread during some meals (eating deli turkey out of the bag). I have been using a calorie tracker and of course I know it is IMPOSSIBLE to remain remotely close to even 80% accuracy while calculating calorie intake but I have been trying my best to stay under 1500 calories a day.
I have not been working out, it's too damn cold and my garage is a mess (weight gym is in the garage).
I think I am stuck at this weight, during Christmas holiday I ate like a friggin pig. (I ate an entire bowl of left over mashed potatoes for lunch one day) I am talking literally a 5lb bowl and did not gain 1lb. I remained 185 through the holidays…
In the summer I ran 2 miles 3 times a week and lost nothing. (I did this for 7 months).
I guess I should have known there is no such thing as a magic pill. My wife kept telling me that Trimspa was a load of crap, I should have listened to her. ![]()
