What training will help you lose weight in the thigh? [thigh area] [loose weight]

Hi, I currently have a large mass of research in the university, reptiles, and something everyone is interested in health . My problem is that I have been gaining weight especially in my thighs. Its getting to where I have more pants sometimes unflattering, unless my favorite pair of black dress pants/slacks.

My question is wearing clothes, there is a workout that will shrink your thighs? And how long should I do this.


Reply:The only thing that's ever worked for me is fat burning exercise…. jogging and rollerblading 3-6 hours a week. You gotta sweat… not a red faced panting sweat, but a nice deep breathing, tough steady prolonged sweat. You got to be in sweat mode for at least 10 minutes to burn any fat… at least that is the only time I have ever noticed any fat loss. That along with broiled chicken breasts, tuna in water, brocolli, spinach, apples and grapefruit.

Reply:Running has helped me tone my thighs, but they haven't actually gotten smaller. I love Gap low rise pants because they are much roomier in the thighs than many other brands. You may find that you don't hate your thighs as much in the right pants! :)

Reply:There is no such thing as spot reducing. Your body releases the fat as you burn it off with cardio exercise, and different people store fat and release it in different orders. For me, and many people, the last place I store it is usually the first to shrink when I diet/exercise. The first place I store fat is my thighs, so it is the last to go for me.

Best thing you can do is start eating a balanced diet with lots of lean protein, whole grains, and natural foods, and start doing cardio and strength training. Strength training increases your metabolism rate, and also tones your muscles, so when that layer of fat reduces, you'll have nice toned legs to show for it!


Reply:You have to lose fat to shrink your thighs- no one exercise will work. To burn fat workout at 65-75% of you maximum heart rate. 220-age, take that mumber and multiply by 65, 70 etc… IF you hold on to fat in this area it will probably be the last place to leave. It will take a conisitent effort on your part. Weight training in combination with this and healthy clean eating- limit sugar, flour products.

Reply:Yes, a little cardio with some leg toning, the best video IMO is called "Perfectly Fit Legs" by Claudia Schiffer and you can get it cheap at amazon. However, don't feel like you should try to look like her cause she's a toothpick. :eek: LOL
