Winsor Pilates / Losing Weight . [winsor pilates] [losing weight]
Hi. I am 20 years old, 54 “and weighs 150 . did
It is about four weeks ago that I started with Winsor Pilates. At that time I lost a total of 10 pounds (now weighing 140 ). Every weekend, I weigh myself, and every time I lose two to three pounds.
Does this sound healthy? Is it healthy to lose 2 to 3 pounds per week? Is this too much / too little? Im just wondering if This seems to right.

Reply:I have been trying to eat differently. I have stopped eating most of what I thought was fattening and bad. I'm on campus, so it's hard to get decent food.
What I have noticed, that makes me believe that it's not just water weight, is that I have lost weight on my rear. The scrub pants I wear to work (a nursing home) used to be tight on my butt, but I have noticed that now they are baggy in that area. So that has given me confidence in this workout. I have also noticed a difference in my legs, and a little bit of my stomach. Though, yes, the stomach is always the hardest part to trim down. :T

Secondly; do you notice the weight coming off your tummy? That's my biggest problem area. I seem to lose it from everywhere else first and it takes forever to "whittle the middle"! I heard that Windsor Pilates are good for this……..I have the same set you do but my future SIL is borrowing them right now. Have you also started eating differently or just doing the videos?

I have three video's.
There is:
Basic step-by-step
20 Minute Workout
and
Accelerated Body Sculpting
My fiance and I started with the Basic step-by-step, because that introduces everything and you learn how to do some of the most important workouts that she does in the other tapes. We did that for about a week or so.
Then we have been doing the 20 Minute Workout. We are still doing that one as it's not too long and it's a good workout.
We tried the accelerated video ONCE, and decided not to ever try that one again until we know exactly what we are doing and until we are a bit stronger. That one is very intense and hard to do. So we've been sticking with the 20 Minute Workout for most of the time I've been losing weight. I enjoy that one. And, after you've been doing it for awhile, it becomes easy and the workout goes by really fast.

Reply:I would like to know what tape/dvd are you doing for winsor pilates. Because I was planning to buy it for an alternate weight loss routine. Now, I am going to the gym, but you know sometimes its dificult to go. So, I was planning to buy some exercises videos.
May I know your exercise routine and also if you are on diet… what type?

I'm on Atkin's diet,and have been losing an average of about 3 lbs. a week. I think it all depends on how you feel. Have you had a checkup with your Dr. It might be a good idea.Just to make sure everything is ok.
