Xenical or Meridia – who has worked or is working for you? [medication xenical] [meridia]
NOT including the “yucky” side effects that Ive recently heard of a really .
which works best? Who has better results?
Im debating which one to talk about my doctor, but I would like to see how someone lost on any medication (Xenical or Meridia alone) and how long did it?
Reply:I've been on Xenical for 9 weeks and I'm averaging a loss of 1 lb. a week. I'm starting to excerise now so hopefully that will speed things up. Yes, there are "gross" side effects, but only when you eat the wrong things. It's tricky because if you eat SUPER low fat or no fat meals my stomach cramps as if the Xenical is "looking" for fat. If you eat too much fat then you experience oily BM's. Anyway, I've found a good balance and it's helpful in avoiding pizza, icecream, etc. Good luck to you.
Reply:Side Effects of Xenical
-increased flatulence (wind) with or without discharge
-abdominal pain
-urgent need to open the bowels (defaecate)
-need to defaecate more often
-oily, fatty, soft or liquid stools
-oily discharge from anus
-rectal pain or discomfort
-tooth and gum problems
Side Effects of Meridia
-restlessness
-nervousness
-anxiety
-headache
-dizziness
-difficulty sleeping
-dry mouth or constipation
More serious side effects can include: allergic reactions (examples include: difficulty breathing; closing of throat; swelling of lips, tongue, or face; hives); irregular heart-beat, increased heart-rate, or high blood pressure
Meridia, or any other appetite-suppressant drug, is not indicated for anyone who is not at least 100 pounds overweight, roughly equal to a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or more. Additionally, if you are the type of person who turns to food for any reason other than hunger (emotions and/or habit), a pill that works to curb appetite will likely not work as well for you.
Reply:i've begged for meridia, but my dr. says no.
anyone tried it?
